Purpose and Scope
Performs Human Resources related duties at the senior level and carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, training, employment, benefits and compensation.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Provide generalist human resources support for all areas of the facility.
• Identify training needs, develop training programs that are aligned with business needs and ensure training requirements are met.
• Respond to employee relations issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, and civil rights complaints.
• Provide coaching and counseling for managers and employees on all human resources issues within assigned department.
• Perform specific research/investigation into operational issues, as requested.
• Oversee staffing.
• Advise department management in Human Resource policy and program matters and provide input on appropriate decisions.
• Make recommendations on organizational changes in assigned department, as appropriate.
• Assist in the administration of compensation programs; review and recommend compensation levels for new hires, promotions and reviews.
• Assist in the development and manage the performance appraisal process for assigned department.
• Review and update policies, as needed.
• Participate as a member of the Management Committee.
• Perform various other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets on PC’s.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and benefits regulations.
• Have proficiency in staffing/recruiting, compensation, benefits, employee relations, organization development, equal employment opportunity and training.
• Strong planning and organization skills.
• Ability to interact with all levels of employees within the Company.
• Ability to maintain confidential information and maintain a mature and discrete attitude.
• Ability to speak or present in front of groups.
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources.
• Professional Human Resources certification preferred.
• Seven or more years in an exempt Human Resources position.
